Synopsis:
To save her mother's life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters - never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight.

As Clary uncovers more about her family's past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadowhunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadowhunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he's willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City - whatever the cost?

Love is a mortal sin and the secrets of the past prove deadly as Clary and Jace face down Valentine in the final installment of the New York Times bestselling trilogy The Mortal Instruments.

What I Thought:
Wow. Just wow. Omg the ending! This is gonna be so hard for me to write without any spoilers. I'm just gonna write a non spoilers and spoilers part.

Throughout this whole entire book... I tried so hard not to throw it out the window. (For all y'all who read it you know what I mean) The Mortal Instruments is one of my favorite series that EVER invented. Cassandra Clare is an amazing writer. Yeah some parts of the novel dragged but then BOOM! It hits the ground running.

Again, this is so hard to review without spoilers so... Please pick up this book and if you haven't already read City of Bones, GO READ IT!! You won't regret it.

NOW FOR THE SPOILERS:
Warning, it might be a little ranty

FINALLY! FINALLY THEY KNOW THE TRUTH!! I was so happy when Clary and Jace realize that they weren't brothers and sisters. It took two books and I was literally going insane like yelling at the book and saying they weren't siblings. I almost threw this out the window and I actually started banging this on my table because I was so frustrated.

So it starts out with Clary getting ready to go to Alicante with Jace -still thinking they are siblings. Jace tricks Clary into staying for her safety but it backfires. Then we see Jace flirting with Aline who is "Sebastian Verlac's" cousin. Then more characters come in like Luke's sister Amatis. And Simon ends up in jail....again.

In the end, Valentine shows up, Jocelyn's awake and apparently with Luke, and shit starts to go down.

We have a war with Valentine and Shadowhunters and Downworlders are helping each other -which I thought was really cute after all these time hating on each other. During that, Jace and Sebastian are fighting and Jace then realize that Clary isn't his sister and Sebastian/Jonathan is. Then the fight with Valentine, he dies and Jace dies. Angel comes and saves Jace and THE END.

Secrets are revealed, and full of non stop drama and action packed scenes unravels. Can't wait to read/reread City of Fallen Angels.
