Linger by Maggie Stiefvater Review

Publication Date: July 13, 2010
Publisher: Scholastic Press
Format: Paperback
Page Count: 360 pages
Source: Bought
Series: The Wolves of Mercy Falls #2

In Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver, Grace and Sam found each other. Now, in Linger, they must fight to be together. For Grace, this means defying her parents and keeping a very dangerous secret about her own well-being. For Sam, this means grappling with his werewolf past . . . and figuring out a way to survive into the future. Add into the mix a new wolf named Cole, whose own past has the potential to destroy the whole pack. And Isabelle, who already lost her brother to the wolves . . . and is nonetheless drawn to Cole.

Beginning was okay, middle was awesome, ending was alright. Grace and Sam seem dull in the sequel, but it was still a good quick read.

Nothing really changed or big happened until the end. The characters were alright. I honestly think I would've abandoned this if it wasn't for Cole and Isabel. Actually, this would've gotten a 2 stars if it wasn't for them.

I think the biggest problem in this series is that it's slow and nothing happens until the very end. Which is true for Linger. I read this under a day and when I finished I was like "That's it? It ended?"

I will finish this trilogy just to see what happens but I'm probably not gonna reread this series.
