They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s—the very place where they’re most in danger...

Review:

I think this is my first ever vampire series I have read and I very much enjoyed it.

Tons of people read this book and there was so many hype about it. I never thought to read this until Christine from PolandBananaBooks recommended her viewers to read this series and I did and I am very happy I listened to her.

Rose and Lissa have been on the run until two years later, they are dragged back to the academy by Dimitri. Rose is a guardian-to-be to Lissa, a Mori princess vampire, who is also her best friend.

I'm not a huge vampire fan, but aside from the title, I never really saw that much vampire things. Its mostly about Rose going back to school and be a guardian which I though was really great. This is written in her point of view but sometimes we get to see Lissa because of the connection Rose and Lissa has.

There is romance in this book and not just any romance. Forbidden love. I LOVE forbidden loves because its such a tease and one side of the relationship is always trying to push the other away and it just makes my heart break. Dimitri is this twenty-four-year-old dhampir of Russian origin. He's quiet, guarded, and a bit anti-social. He's very popular in St. Vladimir and often described as a "god". Dimitri and Rose's relationship is very frustrating. Rose likes him and he likes her back but Dimitri tries to stay out of her so it wouldn't interfere the whole guardian thing.

Unique and engaging, I really recommended this series and I will definitely finish this series.
