Synopsis:

There is danger in dreaming. But there is even more danger in waking up.

The trick with found things though, is how easily they can be lost.

Friends can betray.
Mothers can disappear.
Visions can mislead.
Certainties can unravel.

Review (Non Spoiler & Spoilers):

I’m keeping this short because this is the second to last book of the series and if you haven’t read this yet, what the heck are you still doing here? GO READ IT.

Blue’s mom, Maura, is still missing. The boys go back to school. Blue and the boys continue to find Glendower, the lost Welsh ruler. Gray Man’s boss is in town with his snobby companion.

Not much left to say for the non-spoiler section or the plot really. I’ll be going more in depth on the characters in the spoiler section. Like I said before, if you haven’t read this book yet, HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend reading it and if you haven’t read this series yet, DO IT.

Alright. Now for all the feels. Prepare yourselves for this. (WARNING SPOILER SECTION):

Blue and Gansey breaks my heart. It’s like you want them together but once they kiss, it’s end game for Gansey. My heart was torn into pieces with their late night calls and shenanigans. Gansey waits every night, eyes closed, hand on his phone, and waits for Blue to call him. LIKE IS THAT NOT EVERY RELATIONSHIP GOALS. Then there’s the scene where Blue and Gansey are in his car and they are literally so close they could feel each other’s breaths on their mouth and they just have a moment together. MY HEART IS HURTING ON HOW FUCKED UP THEIR FATES ARE. Every cute scene of theirs is literally all highlighted and there are paragraphs of crying emoijs next to it.

Secondly, can we talk about Pynch? What is “Pynch” you say? YOUR NEXT OTP. Ronan has feelings for Adam and it’s possible Adam may reciprocate those feelings back. Ronan and Adam become closer in this book and it’s just great. Adam doesn’t have the best life in the world and he just needs some good to happen to him. You just have a sense to protect Adam from everything because he’s just too precious. And Ronan, under all his hostile attitude, he’s fiercely loyal and sometimes shows his softer, compassionate side.

Now the ending. WHAT THE HECK?! Neeve is back and she’s with Piper. Piper reached out and did some shit with the non-human sleeping thing from a raised coffin. Like, what. “The sleeper wasn’t human.” WHAT? Like I need answers ASAP.

Shit will go down in the next book and most likely the dreaded kiss scene. It’s going to happen. Maybe he’ll die and is resurrected or something. I don’t know. All I know is, WE SIGNED UP FOR THIS. Maggie made it every much clear even though we don’t want to believe it. We knew what’s going to happen since day one. “That kid is going DOWN.”
